تنظير القولون هو فحص طبى يقوم خلاله الطبيب بفحص الجزء الداخلى من القولون باستخدام منظار القولون Endoscope، بهدف تشخيص بعض الأمراض مثل سرطان القولون والمستقيم ومرض الأمعاء الإلتهابى وبعض الأعراض المعوية المختلفة، وأثناء هذا الإجراء تكون أرداف المريض مكشوفة حتى يتمكن الطبيب من أداء مهمته، ولذا فقد هدفت الباحثتان إلى دراسة احتياجات المرضى أثناء إجراء جراحة تنظير القولون بما يحقق خصوصيتهم ويسهل مهمة الفريق الطبى أثناء إجراء الجراحة، وتبين لهن من خلال المقابلات مع المرضى والفريق الطبى أن الملابس المتداولة فى المستشفيات لهذا الغرض لا تلبى الراحة التامة للمريض، ولا توفر التغطية الكافية لأجزاء جسمه أو الحفاظ على خصوصيته خاصة إذا كان من فئة السيدات، وفى هذا الصدد قامت الباحثتان باقتراح نماذج لتصميمات ملبسية مُبتكرة وعددها 10 تصميمات لتلبية احتياجات كلاً من المرضى والفريق الطبى لجراحات تنظير القولون، حيث تم تحكيمها من قبل الأساتذة المتخصصين فى مجال الملابس وأعضاء من الفريق الطبى المتخصصين فى جراحات تنظير القولون ومجموعة من مرضى جراحات تنظير القولون لإبداء الرأى فيها والتأكد من تحقق أهداف البحث وقد أظهرت النتائج أن التصميمات المقترحة حققت نجاح وقبول لدى كل من الأساتذة المتخصصين فى مجال الملابس وأعضاء الفريق الطبى بجراحات تنظير القولون ومرضى جراحات تنظير القولون.
A colonoscopy is a medical examination in which a doctor examines the inside of the colon using an endoscope. The purpose of this procedure is to diagnose certain diseases, such as colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and some other intestinal symptoms. During this procedure, the doctor needs to expose the patient's buttocks to conduct the examination properly. The authors aimed to assist colonoscopy patients by examining their clothing needs during the procedure to ensure privacy and support the medical team's objectives. Through interviews with patients and the medical team, they found that the clothing commonly worn by colonoscopy patients in hospitals does not provide complete comfort for the patient, nor does it provide adequate coverage for body parts or maintain their privacy, especially if they are women. In this regard, the authors proposed 10 innovative clothing designs to meet the needs of both patients and the medical team for colonoscopy surgeries. These designs were judged by professors specializing in clothing, members of the medical team specializing in colonoscopy surgeries, and a group of colonoscopy patients to express their opinions and ensure that the study objectives were achieved. The results indicated that the proposed designs were successful and accepted by professors specializing in clothing, members of the medical team specializing in colonoscopy surgeries, and colonoscopy patients.
